What do you do when you have a life-altering decision to make? Some decide to air that decision live on ESPN (and get destroyed for it for years to come). Others decide to get away from things for a while to clear their minds.
Dwight Howard has chosen to go with the latter and disappear for a little while to help him come up with the decision that will alter the look of many teams come next season.

Kyle Korver will re-sign with the Atlanta Hawks, according to Marc Stein of ESPN: “Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com on Wednesday night that Kyle Korver has agreed to terms on a four-year deal with the Hawks worth an estimated $24 million. Korver was wooed by several teams in search of a sharpshooter, most notably Milwaukee, San Antonio and Brooklyn. The Nets, though, were limited to offering a three-year deal worth just under $10 million to Korver, who also received a three-year offer from the Bucks worth an estimated $21 million that, sources said, he turned down.”

Here are the full details of Jefferson’s situation, from Broussard: “Jefferson had dinner with the Bobcats Tuesday night and spent much of Wednesday meeting with team brass, sources said. Jefferson is obviously interested, but he wants to wait and see how the Dwight Howard situation plays out before he signs anywhere. Dallas may go hard after Jefferson if it doesn’t land Howard. Jefferson, who made $15 million last season, does not want to take a pay cut, and the Bobcats are weighing whether they want to offer anywhere near that figure. The 28-year-old Jefferson, of course, wants a four-year deal, and the Bobcats aren’t sure they want to offer that many years.”

Tyreke Evans is frustrated with the Kings and ready to move on to a new team, from Stein and Jeff Goodman of ESPN: “Sources close to the situation told ESPN.com on Wednesday that Evans, frustrated by the state of his negotiations with the Sacramento Kings as a restricted free agent, is determined to leave the organization and plans to sign an offer sheet with the New Orleans Pelicans on the first allowable day. Evans took his first formal steps in that direction Wednesday night when he verbally agreed to sign a four-year, $44 million offer sheet with the Pelicans. He’ll officially ink the offer sheet July 10, when the league’s annual moratorium on signings and trades is lifted. Sacramento then would have three days either to match or pass on the offer.”
